Areas of dense fog in the coastal areas of the Coastal Bend as sea fog sneaks ashore. That will get pushed off shore late this morning.

A weak front comes through around noon giving us partly cloudy to mostly sunny afternoon skies and sends dryer air in.

Highs today in the lower 80s. South wind 5-15mph in the morning turns northwest 10-20mph in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy to mostly sunny Thursday with lows near 50 and highs in the upper 70s.

ROBSTOWN - Cottonpickers Baseball Coach Steve Castro has led Robstown to two state championships and more than 700 victories.

He's not sure he'll be able to add to that total.

Castro was suspended indefinitely by the school district on Tuesday for UIL rules violations that occurred prior to a home tournament game on February 26th. CORPUS CHRISTI - Police had to deal with a pit bull that was running amuck in a Northside neighborhood.

Senior Officer Erich Bauch told us, "As far as I'm concerned, it's just another dog."

Officer Bauch has dealt with his fair share of dangerous dogs. And after a pit bull killed a neighbor's poodle, the officer knew exactly what to do.

CCPD Tracks Down Speeders Play Video

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Last month, you saw special reports on 6 News dealing with speeders on some popular roads.

After watching some of those reports, the Corpus Christi Police Department checked out a couple of the areas we featured.

Last week, patrol officers set up radar along Ocean Drive and parts of SPID from 5:30 to 7:30 a.m.

In just two hours, they handed out 41 tickets and made one arrest for possession of marijuana.

Ingleside Residents Want To Give Input On The Base Play Video

CORPUS CHRISTI -- We have continued coverage on development plans for Naval Station Ingleside.

The Port of Corpus Christi is scheduled to take over control of the property on May 1st.

So far, discussions on the future of the base have not included Ingleside elected officials,

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Port of Corpus Christi commissioners had a heated debate today on plans to develop the Naval Station Ingleside property.

The Port is scheduled to take over control of the property on May 1st of this year.

The Port started paying Texas A&M last April to help search for possible tenants.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The woman stabbed dozens of times back in December came face to face Tuesday with the man who attacked her.

Guadalupe Cervantes, 19, plead guilty Monday to aggravated assault.

In the punishment phase, Casandra Perez recalled their relationship, the terrifying attack, and her long recovery.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- A woman caught on surveillance video backing into a man at a Southside convenience store and leaving the scene, was in court Tuesday.

Herlinda Rodriguez had a status hearing, where she and her lawyer were allowed to look over the surveillance video of the incident taken at the Stripes on Saratoga and Staples.

Police say Rodriguez was driving the SUV that backed into 41 year old John Heldenfelds Jr., and then left the scene.

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Another former employee of the Corpus Christi State School was in court today on charges relating to the fight clubs that were staged there.

Guadalupe Delarosa is charged with three counts of injury to a disabled person and this morning prosecutors called a former state school supervisor to the stand who now works as an investigator for the state.

City Council Approves Pipeline Project Play Video

CORPUS CHRISTI - In a unanimous vote this afternoon, the City Council approved $8,000,000 for Phase 2 of the Mary Rhodes Pipeline.

The plan is to build a 40-mile extension of the pipeline from Lake Texana, east to the Colorado River.

The funding approved today will begin the process of designing the pipeline, selecting a final route, and getting the necessary permitting, all with the goal of have the project ready for construction by December of 2011.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Port of Corpus Christi has taken back control of the cold storage facilty.

The Port Commission voted Tuesday to terminate its lease with Coastal Bend Storage.

The company was only eight months into a five-year lease with an option to buy the 100,000 sq. ft. building.

Starting Wednesday, the port will resume operation.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Auto burglaries are down 16% since this time last year, but CCPD is concerned with the recent pawning of 13 GPS devices by the same person.

CCPD says a man pawned the GPS devices over the last couple of weeks at a local pawn shop.

CORPUS CHRISTI - A CCPD officer observed a red Chevy Blazer run a stop sign in the 900 block of Belmeade around 10:30 p.m. Monday night and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
