ROBSTOWN - Michael Lewis, a third baseman for the Coastal Bend Thunder has been suspended for two games after shoving an umpire during Tuesday night's plaoff loss to the San Angelo Colts.
Line Umpire Jeff Bonham filed a report with Robstown Police, accusing Lewis of shoving him twice and throwing a punch at him after he ejected Lewis in the ninth inning.

ROBSTOWN - The Coastal Bend Thunder will be able to play the first playoff game in team history Tuesday night at 7 p.m., despite some afternoon showers.
The guys will take on regular season leader San Angelo in game one of a best-of-three series. The Colts beat them 12 out of 16 times this season, but only four of those were played at Fairgrounds Field, where the teams split a series a couple of weeks ago against the league's best team in a short series. CORPUS CHRISTI - The Coastal Bend Thunder has a half game lead on Rio Grande Valley with one to play.
Tickets are already on sale at Fairgrounds Field, should the team make the postseason in its first year. This one is Coastal Bend's to lose. They've won eight straight and nine out of ten. The only way they won't make the playoffs is if they lose to Laredo and Rio Grande Valley wins Monday night.

CORPUS CHRISTI - The Coastal Bend Thunder looks a lot like the Aviators team that used to play at Fairgrounds Field; their colors are identical and the old Aviators mascot has even cruised the ballpark this season.
The Thunder are also in danger of repeating the Aviators old pattern.
